DIALOG OFFERS DIALOG CHOICE PRICING TO ACADEMIC INSTITUTIONS
CARY, N.C., USA - November 7, 2005 Dialog, a Thomson business, announced today that it is now offering its Dialog Choice pricing plan, featuring unlimited access to key research databases at fixed annual rates, to academic institutions worldwide.
With Dialog Choice, graduate schools, universities and other academic institutions now can provide their faculty, students and researchers with direct, desktop access to high-value databases of scientific, technical and medical research, as well as news, business intelligence and other current awareness content, aggregated by Dialog from leading information publishers.
"We're delighted to extend the Dialog Choice plan to academic institutions around the world," said Viji Krishnan, Dialog vice president, publisher management. "Dialog Choice allows academic information managers to know in advance exactly how much it will cost annually to make critical information resources continually available to academic end users."
Ninety-two databases of research, business intelligence and news content are now available for annual subscriptions through the Dialog Choice plan. The company expects to add additional databases to the roster over time.
The available content ranges from intellectual property research (such as patent records from major markets around the world) to abstracts of scholarly research published in thousands of peered-review journals.
Academic institutions opting for Dialog Choice fixed annual subscriptions may provide unlimited access to the entire institution or to specific users within selected departments or units.
