DWPI FIRST VIEW LAUNCHED ON QUESTELORBIT
New Alerting Service From Thomson Available on Questel.Orbit
Philadelphia, PA, USA-London, UK - June 24, 2005 Today, Thomson Scientific, a business of the Thomson Corporation, announced the availability of Derwent World Patents Index First ViewSM (DWPI First ViewSM) on QuestelOrbit. DWPI First View is the new alerting companion file to Derwent World Patents Index® (DWPI®)—the comprehensive database of value-added patent information. DWPI First View allows users to receive previews of the latest published patent documents in advance of their inclusion in DWPI. Searching DWPI First View in combination with DWPI will provide users with a comprehensive overview of global patenting activity.
DWPI First View records contain enhanced bibliographic data for all new patent documents, along with original titles, abstracts, technical drawing images, and English-language abstracts for patents from China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Russia.
DWPI First View will be available on QuestelOrbit, file DWPIFV, in early June. To enable customers to familiarize themselves with this new resource and discover how easy it is to search and integrate into their existing DWPI searching, users can explore this new resource with zero connect hour/DialUnits until June 30, 2005.
